Jeni Wilder: Skating Director

Jeni Wilder has been a Basic Skills figure skating instructor for over 27 years, teaching children from toddler age through 17 and adults.  She has competed in figure skating for over 33 years and is currently a competitor at the Adult Silver level and has recently included ice dancing in her competitive repertoire.  Jeni is passionate about choreography to music and specializes in enhancing technical elements within a musical program for her students, such that they are timed with key aspects of the musical piece. Her musical background stems from her experience playing piano, trumpet and flute, choral and solo singing, and studying ballet, jazz and modern dance styles.  Jeni also enjoys hiking and is currently working on completing the New Hampshire “48 list”, which are the 4,000+ foot peaks.  She also enjoys skiing, swimming, aerobic dance, and weightlifting.  Jeni has a 13-year-old daughter and two adult sons who all started skating at 2 years old.  “Teaching skating came naturally after I had children and of course I taught them all to skate! I am happy to join the Mount Washington Valley Skating Club and continue my ardor and love for figure skating.”
